Afraid

I can no longer hide away,
from my tears nor runaway.

Soon people will notice my smiles,
are fake and my laugh is weak.

Soon they will start asking what's wrong.
But I won't reply.

They already started to notice the scars on my wrist,
it won't be long til they find my dead.

Go ahead and try and stop me,
but every step you'll take the gun gets closer to my head.

Touch me, and i'll pull the trigger.

Wrong move. I think you know what happens next.

Suicide is never the answer and they say it is the most selfish act a person can commit. The devastation a person leaves behind to others is so unnecessary. I feel the pain and anguish in this write ten from me.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
