Ain't It Funny?
Ain't it funny to have one head, but two faces?
Have 15 personalities in 40 different places?
Isn't it amazing
That people aren't what they seem
Not even in a dream
Both nice and mean
Even a little obscene?
Ain't it funny to be so obscure,
But even when confused they're acting so secure.
It's almost cute
To belie the evil within
To hide the true personality
From family and friend?
It's almost cute...
Almost perspicacious...
Almost a little normal...
Almost not outrageous...
Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
