    • To be set free, but locked away in my own cell of fear

    Crystal

I've walked a long way from home
    Not knowing where I'm going
Where I would end up but...
I knew from then on I was on my own
Focused on the waves of my future flowing

    Mistakes have been made
    Dues have been paid
Time flies by showing I got paid in return
    All in a lesson learned

Rewarded with the most precious treasure
The richest crystal an eye could lay
So priceless no word nor action could ever begin to measure
And I'm the luckiest for this to have come my way

    This angel, my light
    This crystal, my heart
    This gorgeous gift in sight
How I wish I've found you from the start

    Instead, you found me
The perfect timing in all that was crashing
Something across the distance, difficult to see
All I could make out was this reflective flashing

You stopped me in my track
And come to find in you a new piece of me
And since then I've never looked back
Cause the me I am with you I'd die to stay to be

The rock that keeps me grounded
    Keeps me sane and liberated
    Keeps me well rounded
    And my life exhilerated

Nothing in this universe, on this Earth
Could ever compare to the beauty you behold
There's an infinite limit to what you're worth
And this admirable power within you so bold

I want nothing more than to keep this
This crystal I could never think to let go
My miracle, my new found bliss
But the day you disappear....that's when I'll know

This was a beautiful piece of love and respect that flowed smoothly with a soft feel to it or almost like you wanted to scream but had to keep stopping yourself / pen to keep control over your emotions ... this was a pleasure to read thanks for sharing

    thank you very much =)

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
