    MOThER

Im sick of your so called rules,
    Im sick of your changes,
Im sick of being sick of you.

    I try and I try,
but as the days go by,
it seem as though you just won't go,
away that I need for you to.

Im of age and now a young women,
who wants to and trying to do things on my own.
    But you just won't stop,
you still expect me to jump, skip, and hop.
    To what you say,
what you tell me to do.

    Time is changing,
and it's time for you to realize,
I ain't that little girl that I once was years ago.
It's just time for you to let go.
Let me be who I want to be,
who I want to be with,
and do all the things that I need to do,
to get myself up and on my own two feet.

I don't want to depend on you anymore,
I don't want to drive you into the ground,
I don't want to be the reason your boyfriends not around.

    Im trying to grow up
but you just won't let me.
Im trying to free you from me
    and me from you.
I want you happy and not to worry.

    I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!
and that's something to always remember.

Hi.That was full of frustration of a kind I never felt.My parents were only too glad to let me go, though I have a young friend who is going through that at the moment and this poem could have been taken out of her mouth. Well done. That's talent. X

Mother's do hold on, why we are not sure, but let go we must for you (the children), and the child within, waiting to discover the self. Perhaps mother is afraid to let go and doesn't know it.

a child grows into a woman and wants to establish her independents. very nice poem. I hope the two of you work it out.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
