Heaven & Promises
If there is no heaven,
then how is there a hell?
If there are no promises,
then how is there lies?
I always thought that promises
aren't ment to be broken.
But many say they are.
So how can you make is promise
if you're intentions are only to break it?
Just like holding someones' heart
in the palm of your hand.
Are you the one to heal it
or will you be the one to break it?
He has my heart and everything it holds
would he just leave it out in the cold?
I tried to understand how I just handed it to him,
but it seems as though it has fell,
Will he be the one to tend to its needs,
Or will I have to beg and plead.
