    Pain of Thinking

     Head pounds
    Thoughts swirl
    Lights flash
    You fall
    Tears run down your cheek
    Sunset crashes
    You lie there cold
    Hoping death takes you
    Eyes close
    Darkness sinks
    Pain travels in several directions
    It sharpens as it moves
    Arm gets tighter
    Just a swift slash
    You lay down
    Praying
    Hoping
    All will go away
    Life seems empty
    Slowly sinking
    into the abyss
    Never to return
    From that dark place.
