    tired

I count the hours awaiting relief,
from this long and lonely sleep,
    chained to this restless bed,
infected by torturous thoughts that run rampant through my head.

I pace the halls in desperation,
looking for any sign of inspiration,
each and every night i possess this heaviness,
sombre and weakened in view of peaceful rest.

With weighty heart and placid eyes,
    i begin my perilous compromise,
heavy head sinks into feathered clouds,
notions unwind as ears fail all needless sounds.

    While slipping transiently into demise,
my body exonerated one final sigh.

I felt this way so many times. I really heard every word you said. I felt a tortured soul wrote this. At any rate, great use of words and you have a great way of rhyming. Excellent!

I can really feel connected to this poem. But WAIT inspiration comes in all forms and you write beautifully. so keep it up.
