    • My writings are far and fewer between these days. At least I've started working on refining what I post.

    A Little Regret

My friends try to tell me
Try not to get too attached
But I've always had a fondness for you
That I can never take back

It was opening up to you
    That helped shape me now
I was free to be myself with you
You sort of showed me how

The memories of us are great
    Whether in school or out
I always had real feeling for you
But I also had my doubts

    I did have my chance
But when the day finally came, I hesitated instead
    I missed opportunity
And will always have a little regret

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
