i sit here thinking of the past i cant change
wondering what would happen if i chose a different way
the people i loved and can no longer have
the loss and the pain that drives me mad
the choices that seem like they are just mistakes
and the wishes that never seem to go away
what would happen if i just changed course
would there be sadness or remorse
what could thinking of all of this do
would it help me get closer to you
or will this past always drag me down
away from the sun and into a frown
because no matter what i do or say
the past and hurt wont go away
but i love you, i know that i do
its the one thing that i still hold true
    but i cant help wondering....

i like it alot. it really makes you think and question and wonder doesnt it? ryan

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
