Concealment

Pounding is the heart
When yours is next to mine
Escaping reality
For just seconds at a time
Giving in and pulling away
Just to see your face
Getting lost
In the sudden kiss' grace
Hold fast or run away
Questions lead to answers that way
They say absence makes the heart grow stronger
But nearer to you the distance is longer
One touch, one look and again I am lost
Feeling this, what is my cost?
Have I paid the dues of such crimes beheld
Lies and deciet together meld
Away the form of what becomes
When hearts beat like ogre drums
So am I to accept the last
When all is gone from my past
Moving forward to futures end
Such things around the bend
Reaction itself has no place
When I gaze upon your face
Closed eyes I have no more
For you Ive found behind that door
Waiting for me 'til morrows day
With I love you yet to say

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
