The girl of Tomorrow

The girl of Tomorrow

She stands there in complete innocence
unaware of what might become
For life to her is dreams and hope with no
obsticle to face
So young with passion, and desire on her side
She laps the water of spirit and it shines
through her eyes
Giving way for future and past far behind
Life takes a new turn in direction
But little does she know
to the path she is blind

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
