Thoughts in a Day

The wind whistles as it beats against the
trees
Listen, look up, and fall to your knees
Like holding the sun in the palm of your
hand
Time slips away like the hourglasses'
sand
Never expect more than you should
For life turns around and you never know
what could
Strike at convienence, for it's funny that
way
When darkness shadows where the light use
to lay
Take each moment as it passes by
The next may be last, and eyes aren't ment to
cry

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
