Shadows Of When

Shadows Of When

Standing in the passions of desire one hopes
to reclaim
Love is a spledered opportunity of which is
not to name
Carrying hope across the threshold of life
as time passes by
Giving way for doubt and lustful thought only
to have to cry
I reach and yet find nothing to grasp and
the air it seems thin
But desire keeps the heart in focus and it
remembers when
The songs they play, The world it turns, For
that I have no tears
But losing all I have ever known, that
controls my fears

Wow! Just ah-mazing. The title best suits the poem itself. I like the rhyming that occured here and there. Just brilliance=). Would you mind checking out my poems? I'm new and want to know other people's opinions...

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
