    Saying I'm Sorry

Angry words harshly spoken in a time of
true emotion. You left behind a piece of you
and I regret my action. For the least I
should have done, was give you a piece of me.
For friends we may have been, apart we
    will be.
You left me sometime ago, to be with someone
new. I hope you find your happiness in all
the things you do. I would have taken your
place, had I known the time. For it is all
I have, forever friend of mine.
I come here for comfort and offer my
apology. Losing you was hard, for an angel
are you to me.I kneel beside the sight
where we laid you to rest, giving you my
tears and loving you the best.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
