*~Daydreams of Heaven~*
Heaven is a paradise I've heard of all my life.
A place where there's no pain or tears. No struggling or strife.
When at last God calls me home, I wonder what I'll see.
Will all those loved and lost be there to welcome me?
Will I spend time with my grandfather? Hear stories never told?
Will I walk beside the Lord, the savior of my soul?
I've heard it said in Heaven, that there is no day or night.
But I imagine I'll hear mandolin 'round a fire in the moonlight.
Will we paint the sky with sunsets? Can we sculpt the puffy clouds?
Can we look down on our loved ones and smile 'cause they've made us proud?
With no need to eat or drink, can we still have barbecues?
It would be a celebration with our friends and families, too.
Are there oceans there to swim in, with no worry that we'll drown?
Will laughter, music, harmony, love and peace abound?
Will the children play and roll down hills? Spend time climbing trees?
Will we dance among the daffodils, blowing in the breeze?
Can I sit in on a jam session with musicians long been gone?
Jimi, Janis, Waylon, Hank, the list goes on and on!
No need for money there. No violence, no addiction.
No more broken hearts. No diseases, no afflictions.
Will all nations be at peace? There will be no need for war.
Race, language, politics, won't matter anymore.
We will all look at eachother with no judgement and no hate.
We will all be perfect there. I can hardly wait.
Hear thunder crash, watch lightning strike from somewhere far above.
See the Earth rinsed clean by rain, like sin cleansed by God's love.
Time and space go on forever. Far past infinity.
In my mind there surely is no better place to be.
With great big hugs and endless smiles, no worries and no cares.
We'll live on 'til eternity. I hope to see you there.
