Poem Commentary

WE HONEYMOONED IN CABO SAN LUCAS IN 2003, FELL IN LOVE WITH IT AND BOUGHT A HOUSE THERE WHERE WE LIVE PART TIME. IT IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN CAN BE DESCRIBED, BUT I TRY! THANKS, PLEASE RATE IF YOU DON'T MIND! ROSE HADDIX. :)

ON CABO BAY

As sun sinks low in Cabo Bay,

We watch the colors slowly leak,

In hues that take our breath away

Sepias, orange, gold and peach.

The ships are bathed in harbor lights

As in the distance music floats.

This land was made for moonlit nights

As secrets spill from lovers' throats

The whales have put their babes to sleep;

The ocean waves now lap the shore.

A smile, a kiss, we dare not speak;

Is this a dream, or something more?

As far-off laughter fills the air,

Pacific breezes gently waft

And softly tangle with my hair;

We sip the wine from our carafe

If Heaven held no room for us;

If ever we were turned away,

Joyfully we'd stay here thus;

In peace and love on Cabo Bay.

nice work it all makes u sleep and not tired but makes you tired of the city and people all around to a sleepy romantic bay view for a after life

Oh, this is just beautiful! Sounds like a remembrance of your honeymoon, perhaps. I'd be honored it you'd read one of mine called "Is It You" and comment. I think you'll love it.

Yes Dumplin, and not only a remembrance but shortly after, we actually bought a home in Cabo and still own it...it is just heavenly there! Thanks again and I shall read yours, "It Is You" now!! Love, Rose. :)

Another smooth piece, serene, lost in the beauty of the surrounding nature, fulfilling your love desire and sharing it with the environment around you. A 10 for sure.
