Unintended ignorance
No one could replace you.All the years and seconds
Of every month and day.
You stand there looking through.
No one could ever know.
You stand behind the glass.
I reach forward to escape the past.
You speak but I can't hear what you say.
You don't feel real but just a dream.
I whisper the words
But ignorance gives us bliss
Or so it would seem.
Nothing compares to you and me.
Your voice echos in my mind.
You sing your youth in your song
And I tell them the truth in the wrong.
