Strangers
So many people.
Strangers I don't know.
So many lives.
Not one of them will show.
You stood before me
My wrist in your hand.
My blood on your skin
And by myself I couldn't stand.
These strangers don't know my past.
They couldn't understand
They wouldn't know
Why my wrist was in your hand.
We stood above the world.
You weren't a stranger anymore.
He clings to me like he could devour my soul.
I wait for you but I won't wait for you to walk through the door.
