    You told me to smile
    So I smiled.
    You told me
    To be happy
    So I tried.
    You said things would be the same
    And I believed you
    When I knew you lied.
    You promised.
    You called me that name
    So when you told me to smile
    I smiled
    While I broke apart.
    And I held my life
    Showed you my soul
    And exposed my heart.
    So when you told me to smile
    I smiled for you.
