Safe
You tell meIt's okay
And not to flinch
At every sound.
I sit in the dark
Feeling Blind and alone.
I'm learning things
I should have known.
I'm only okay
Whern you're around.
I feel def and numb
As I hear my heart pound.
Safe
You tell meWhen power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
