    I'm Not Waiting For Redemption

     When will you forgive me for not being enough?
    Because I know
    I'm not cookie cutter perfect.
    I may never have been worth it
    And around the edges I'm rough.
    Forgive me for not letting go.
    When will you forgive me for not being the Girl?
    For not being the one you needed.
    For being the one you didn't really know.
    When will you realize?
    I'm not the one you really hate.
    You will Never Look into my eyes
    And I'll never be the one to stand around and wait.
    I'm sorry I wasn't enough,
    That I wasn't the one.
    That I'm not cookie cutter perfect.
    Around my edges I'm too rough
    But at least we had our fun.
    When will you forgive me
    For not giving my heart to just anyone?
