    Poem Commentary

    This poem is for my dearest friend, confidant, and "partner in crime." We have spent many hours on the telephone but I haven't seen him for thirty years.

    White Knights & Earth Angels

    I have a white knight who knows my name,

    He never forgot that we're so much the same,

    And thoughts of his jokes in my silly old brain,

    I guess I'll just go and dance in the rain!

     

    If there was an angel on earth it is You,

    To watch over my soul, and I know that you do,

    And should life deny my eyes with your pleasure,

    I'll always behold I've received quite a treasure.

     

    Though we are apart and so far away,

    Your thoughts they are with me, and I feel that you pray,

    This Texas Earth Angel survives one more day,

    To give what she's got, for God made her that way.

     

    So if you e'r wonder in your pondering soul,

    If your life has arrived at its long searched for goal,

    Remember Earth Angel smiles up at the stars,

    Thinking of knights on their dragons who rescue from far.

     

    I'll never forget you my sweetheart so true,

    Your heart is quite golden, yes, Mo, that is you,

    Wherever life takes us, you always shall be,

    A prince and a poet, and a friend just for me.

    THIS TENDER WORK OF YOURS IS FULLY-DONE! NOTHING ABOUT IT IS MISSING TO RENDER IT INCOMPLE- TE FOR THOSE WHO KNOW HOW TO HANDLE LOVE! I STILL WONDER HOW I WITHSTOOD SOME KIND OF AMOROUS NOSTALGIA AS IF IT WAS ALL MEANT FOR ME! EXCELLENT WORK,TEXASWRITER!!!

    Thank the good Lord above that this site is an outlet for us to reach out and touch someone with His love and understanding. We are not alone, Marie, there are so many of us out there just like us; lost and broken pieces of a puzzle that will never be complete in our lifetimes. Thank God that we shall be reunited on the other side. But until then, let's wipe our tears and wash our faces and live for today. We shall not pass by this time again. "Life is short.     PLEASE DON't TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY : this reminds me of a Hallmark Card. "to watch over my soull, and i know that you do" really touched me....this is beautiful and touching like some of those hallmark cards. but, this is not a halmark card because it was not written in generic catch all recipients. this mo person is /was special and i love the tribute. thank you. 9
