    Poem Commentary

What can I say about this one that isn't evident in reading it?

    ©2010 Sting

I'm on both ends of a polar scale
I feel emotions strong, to no avail
but that dont make me blind you see.

You say you want 25 year olds
always trying to find that fools gold
searching in another for what you used to be.

In my sanity you came around
loved me good , threw me to the ground
now Im brushing off all the dirt.

Left not knowing if this is love or hate
    wishing that you would demonstrate
in actions full of passion, no more hurting.

I  go a few days with no word from you
get over the deeper shades of blue
then you call like everything's fine.

The things you do got me going in extremes
why isn't anything what I believed it seemed?
do I wait to see what comes in time?

A part of me wants to just give up
dont need the love of a pup
I've got to have caring love and tenderness.

Can you give it to me the way it should be?
and not leave me drowning in the bitter sea?
It's not alot to ask , can't you see this?

I dont want to leave you behind
just a lost memory in the back of my mind
look deep within before you loose a good thing.

Dont play me for just another lay
because sooner or later there will come a day
that you'll be the one to feel that sting.

I may be light years off base but this sounds to me like an older woman using a younger man. Excellent write 10...........................

Poetry is open to interpretation, if that is what you read in it then that is what it means to you. Thank you for reading it.

Powerfully emotional write my friend!!! bravo! it is so sad that many people don't realize what they have till it is gone, then the sting begins and they tend not to like it. I will try not to comment on the situation as I know not all the details so i will focus on the emotion instead. This write reaks of raw emotion, driping with each word, a plea for another's keep. A safe place for you heart to make its leap. Sounds to me deep down you know what do but you find yourself holding on to the love of the past, the memories of yesterday. Very hard to let go and move on when the love you feel is still so strong and vivbrant in your memories heart. "forgetting is like challenging a thousand soldier to blood defeat", "remember in like calling the devil himself to your door". As hard as it is to forget and move on it is even more difficult to keep the memories fresh and in the forefront of one's relaity, when we do this it freezes the heart in cold ice, froozen in a prision of time. If the love you share is true than it will melt away this ice, if not it is time to move on and let the beating of your heart continue its journey, whether broken or whole... perhaps i see, perhaps I am blind. Just food for thoughts. Purity of the soul, journey well!!! Angel aka Poem buster

An interesting piece - almost like the way a woman feels about that 'fickle man.'.'-)

Kenny Rogers: "You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em". Otherwise you end up tethered to a leash through your nose. Cool is your best strategy either way. Good poem.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
