Does Poetry have a Form that should Conform"
What is this poetry?
what is this prose?
To relinquish it all
to a finite propose
I worked with my daughter
to help with her homework
But know not the definition
of what she hath spoke
Understanding the classics all that I’ve read
But some of the meter and form do I dread
I love all the Picasso’s who write to attest
That freedom in poetry is simply the best
So write what you feel in what ever pentameter
Go freely with thoughts
do not waste a while
restrictive parameters
you must beguile
And so we are blessed
in your thoughtful diameter
