Fall Apart To A Lullaby

And when we wrote the story, how did it end?
Was it desperate moves, and our lives to defend?
Was it smoke and mirrors, with cause and effect,
Would it stop you now, to look back and reflect.
I wrote you in without any description
Gave you too many lines, without any conviction.
So give me a smile, and raise your pint glass,
Toast to this now, it might just be our last,
To walking on eggshells,
And lying with landmines,
To kissing our bedsheets,
And to all memories left behind
To those who never changed,
Leaving hell in their wake.
To those who grew up,
and knew what paths to take...
To always being just who i was.
