My Demented Decline
can you guess,
this happiness is not forever,
this love we have is short-lived
like waking up with fever,
my eyes have never been clearer,
but when you draw nearer....the fear i feel,
overwhelmed by your touch and your smell,
the closeness is cloying,
it stinks of warmth and love,
i want to shove you away,
you torture me with promises and understanding,
you hang yourself by admitting,
that you love me,
care enough to accept,
to dwell,
to die, to lie side by side in death,
to extend this moment into eternity,
a burial at sea of viking immortality,
like valhalla you burn in your lies,
i cant believe you,
you deny,
you try and try
but i think im too far gone to be worth it in the end,
your truth is just pretend,
this everlasting will end,
i cant shake the demons from my mind
and i cant defend
my demented decline
