    Pretending
    I like pretending.
    I'm pretty good at pretending
    that I'm okay.
    And that I give a shit
    about half the people
    I call friends.
    And pretending it doesn't 
    bother me
    feeling like an outcast.
    Like I said,
    I'm good at pretending

    I know what you mean. I can't be open with almost any of my friends. If I open up my heart to them, they shut me down. I've been hurt like that so many times, that i just won't let them know a single thing about me any more. I think this poem expresses that feeling very, very, well. I love it.
