Poem Commentary

This goes out to all my young brothers.....Ripped from the pages of my journal

Saggy Bottom Boys

You walk around with your pants half off your ass
Show’n the world that you have no class
Makes me wonder what your parents all about
Let’n you leave the house with your ass hang’n out
Do they know, do they care?....This I doubt
If I ever see my boy walk’n ‘round like that
I’m gone put my Air Jordans where his pants should have been at

What a disgrace
To the Negro’ race
Our forefathers struggled and died so we can be free
So you can wear your pants down ‘round your knees?
Ne'gross please!
Give yourself some dignity and respect
Come correct
Put all this ig’nants in check
And give yourself a chance
Be a real man---
PULL UP YOUR DAYM PANTS!

I love it!!!! So true. You can hardly find a guy that isn't wearing his pants at his knees. It's disturbing.

Yay! I agree totally with your message whether the guy's white or black , This is just tacky and disrespectful. A great read.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
