    A Quick Melt

    ice prisms snag
    afternoon spectrums
    of white winter light
    bend and braid it
    squeegees off a rainbow,
    a Crayola corolla in each
    melting drop suspended
    from the tips of icicles

Short and simple, yet this piece brings together a gentle image of something almost serene we've all seen a million times.... Well done...

I started with short little poems, and eventually I took courage and started writing longer ones. This one is an example of how I wrote every poem not that long ago. Sometimes I think I write stronger pieces with fewer words. Thank you for commenting again.
