    Burdens Of You

These burdens I'm holding in my hands are struggling.
    Struggling to be let go.
They are not mine to hold.
These are burdens you threw at me.
Forced to conceal them in my heart.
To keep them from getting to you.
    These are your burdens.
Burdens that should be weighing you down.
To be lifted from my heart, soul, and mind.
    These burdens have been waiting.
    Waiting to cling to you.
    Waiting to bring you down.
Just like you broke me down.
These are the burdens I'm letting go of.
The burdens I'm throwing back in your face.
These burdens of you are no more.
I no longer hold them in my struggling hands.

YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH WITH THIS. KUDOS TO YOU FOR PUTTING THE RESPONSIBILTY BACK TO WHO IT BELONGS TO,..THIS IS YOUR LIFE TO LIVE FOR YOU, NOT SOMEONE ELSE

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
