    Poem Commentary

    Religiousness at its best

    Hypocritical Tears

    The clouds are rolling in.
The rain is starting to pour down.
The thunder's roaring and the lightning's glaring in the sky.
It's the monsoon every ones for told about.
The days of calm blue skies have come and gone by.
Now are the days of the mischief and misfortune.
The lakes and rivers are overflowing with the tears of the Gods.
They strike us down for our sins.
Yet they cry at the sight of their creation being destroyed.
The hypocritical facts of religion are upon us.
And its like a hurricane falling in our laps.
    The clouds are rolling in,
As we float away on a sea of tears.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
