Poem Commentary

Something that I've been going through and trying to deal with.

Coma

I'm drifting off.
Off into a deep sleep.
I can feel myself fading from reality.
Everything I've been taught,
All the advice that has been giving to me is slowly disappearing.
My memories are nothing more than a blur now.
It all seems so far away.
I'm not sure where I'm going.
But I know I won't remember any of it when I wake up.
I won't remember your faces, your names, or my connection to you.
The memories of the things we did together a re but a dream.
A figment of your imagination.
I'm drifting off to a far away place that I will soon call home.
A place where feelings are forbidden and forgotten.
A place relatives and  friends don't exist.
There are only our fears and the monsters that haunt us at night.
Here we forget our past, and have no future.
Here, we forget to remember.
