    Haven

    Where do I go to lie down
    When I am feeling stressed?
    It seems like there is no place
    For weary eyes to rest

    I have seen the worst in life
    Things I wish to forget
    I have paid the price for deeds
    That I truly regret

    I can't tolerate this guilt
    I think I've lost my mind
    Sanctuary from my pain
    Is difficult to find

    If I find good shelter I
    Won't dwell in misery
    There must be a haven for
    Someone as sad as me

    When I find my haven I'll
    Be absolutely sure
    That my schizophrenia
    Will live to see a cure

    I keep rereading this, going back for an answer. It breaks my heart every time. If I could do a thing for you, I'd brush away the sadness and make you new and shiny again, make you happy. You are so sweet, you don't deserve those struggles. My heart goes out to you sweetheart, I wish you happiness and promise you a friend

    I didn't particularly care for the way you constructed the 4th and 5th stanzas as I wouldn't have done it that way, because it breaks the flow. However, you and I write very similarly. I think you might enjoy my stuff.
