    This poem is for all the disgusted wives who feel like their husbands do not appreciate all the sacrifices they make to take care of them.

    Back of the Line

    I've been waiting so long
    For just some food to eat
    That I can barely feel my hands,
    My lips, my feet are so tired
    From standing in line for
    Far too long and I don't think
    I will ever get anything
    Until I take a stand and
    Yell out what I want...

    I want to be heard,
    I want to be recognized,
    I want someone to see
    How long I have been waiting
    Just to get a piece of bread
    Or a cold cup of water...
    When is someone going to see
    All the times I let the person
    In the back cut ahead of me-
    All the sacrifices I made to
    Make sure he had something to eat-
    That he was first instead of me...
    When is it going to be my turn
    To leave the back of the line?

    When is someone going to serve me?
