    Inspired by John 8:28 So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know…that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught.

    Puppet Master

     

    Puttin’ your words
    Inside my mouth and
    Compellin’ me alwayz
    To spit them out-
    My lips move up
    And down but it’s
    Not even me, it’s you
    Makin’ me feel like
    I am truly alive-
    Without your direction,
    I won’t survive.

    I find I can’t
    Last two minutes if
    You are not in
    All I say and all
    I will ever do-

    It’s not by me
    But it’s alwayz you
    Takin’ my legz in
    Your direction az I
    Wait patiently for your
    Next production cuz
    We make a good team.

    There is nothing
    We can’t do cuz
    I know it’s not me-
    It’s all of You
    And how you work
    My body and soul
    Movin’ me closah
    Az you take control of
    Every inch of my bein-
    Seein’ myself grow to
    Be a woman thatz
    Ready for her destiny

    Cuz I clearly see
    That it was neva me
    But it was all You
    Behind the scenes.
