Poem Commentary

This poem was written upon viewing Mount Monadnock the morning after a snowstorm.

Beauty

The crispness of the morning air
Was refreshment for my soul.
The sunlight filtering through the trees
Shown like diamonds in the snow.
The mountains in their majesty
Stood tall and showed their power.
The overwhelming beauty
Was too awesome to devour,
God in all His glory
Brought the beauty to this Earth,
And gave us all salvation
Through the Christ Child's birth.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
