Mandy

Mandy, my dear sweet child,
Why are you hurting so?
Aren’t you glad that you have
The things your friends don’t know?
You have love--the love of God
The Father, and the Son.
His love will guide and nurture you
‘Til the day your life is done.
You face temptation every day
But you battle it and win.
You think you are forsaken?
Well, you better think again.
Your friends may have material things,
And do things they shouldn’t do,
And if you do not join them
They look down their nose at you.
But, my child, you have it all.
You have Jesus in your heart.
You have His love surrounding you
From you He’ll never part.
If you should fall, He’ll pick you up
And carry you through life.
He’ll always be there at your side
To ease your time of strife.
Talk to Him--tell Him how you feel
Accept the love He’ll give.
For He will never leave your side
As long as you shall live.
Keep Jesus always close at hand
No matter what your friends may say.
For Jesus will be with you all your life
When your friends have gone away.
