Loss of a child

Loss of a child

Oh! How my heart aches for you
The suffering you must bear,
The pain that's tearing at your heart-
Such feeling of dispair.
Nothing can replace the child
That was taken from your sight.
Only time can heal the void
Left by that viscous plight.
And you must now begin to mend
And place your faith in God'
Knowing that your precious child
Is living with the Lord.
There is no pain or agony there
Just comfort, peace and love,
And you ca reassure yourself
That she's watching from above.
She will be missed forever,
No matter where you roam,
Just keep your faith in Jesus.
'Cause He's taken your child home.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
