    Hurt
    Pains of the heart --how deep the wound,
    With scars so long to heal.
    With outstretched arms I grasp at words...
    True feelings to reveal.
    But through the haze of salty tears,
    The apology is denied.
    The hurt cuts deeper in your soul
    As our inner thoughts collide.
    But, You, dear God, will be with me
    With every move I make.
    You’ll help me heal the frozen heart
    Before it has to break.
    Hold onto me and help me through
    The tough times that I face.
    Fill me with your spirit,  Lord,
    Fill me with your grace.
    Wrap your arms around me Lord
    Help me make it through.
    I know “Of this I can be sure--
    That I can count on you.
    Thank you Father for your love,
    And for staying close at hand,
    To help me through this painful time
    Because You understand.
    Make me worthy of your love,
    In everything I do.
    That this whole world will recognize
    The love I have for you.
