Calling out to God

Calling out to God

Feeling defeated, lonely, empty inside

all alone in my room

I hang my head and cry

I have been going my own way for so long now

I wanted to reach out to you Lord but haven't known how.

I have tried everything to fill this empty space

I have gone everywhere, moving from place to place

Whereever I go there is always something missing

nothing is ever what it seemed to be

I hear your voice calling

so tonight my God I am down on my knees.

Father God I give you my life tonight

I am down on my knees

I am calling on your holy name

asking you please

to forgive me of my sins

Father God I am crying out to you

I almost don't know where to begin.

Father in heaven I have so much I want to say

you sent your son to die for us

Still, I turned away

when I was scared, in trouble, or feeling alone

I had only to ask you and you would have brought me home

Father God I ask in Jesus' name

That you take me from this darkness

bring me into your light

let me serve you, glorify your name

do all that is right.

I thank you Father God for all you have done

I thank you Father God for sending us your only son

to die for us that we can live if we believe

Thank you for sending us your holy spirit

and for all the gifts that we recieve

Thank you Jesus for washing away our sins

Thank you Jesus for all that you have done

and continue to do

Father God I never want to stray again

now that you called me back to you

Help me serve you whole heartedly

help me to be a blessing every day

Lord give me strength and guide me

show me your ways.

aint it just like God to always be standing there at the ready to receive unto Himself again in spite of what we have done or how we look He yet calls us His own... i love this poem

Thank you. It is true indeed. God is loving and faithful, always ready to welcome us back home.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
