    Failure

    I'm sitting here without you
    Becoming lost in thought
    I wonder if you mean this love
    If this is truly what you've sought.
    I know I can be a let down
    And I know I get hard to be around
    I know that you'll love me despite that
    But in these doubts, I start to drown.
    Am I really a failure to you?
    Do you mean all those angry words you say?
    I'm afraid my inadequacy will end us
    I don't want us to turn out that way.
    Circles; they ring around me
    Words flowing through my mind
    I'm afraid if I wait too long to
    Confront this
    You may decide to leave me behind.
    I couldn't live my life without you
    It's just as much yours as mine.
    I have to find a way to purge these words,
    With my heart out on the line.
