Days grow longer
time just ticks by
how long do you cry for
before the tears just run dry?
trying to hold on
but what exactly am i fighting for?
when what once i wanted so desperately

sticking closely to silent vows
i try so hard to just make it through
with the world impacting around us
what's hurting me most is you.
your words run so smoothly

infecting me with happiness
right into the bed
and then you leave
and the bed will grow cold
and that feeling will return

Back to the real days
where you couldn't care what i have to say
and more often than not
i feel as if I'm in the way.
i cry because you hurt me
and you look at me with disgust
and the things you say to me
come not from a man to trust.
there are no arms around me in that moment
when what i needed most was you
