    Tarnished

     my knight puts up no fight
    not for what's right
    in front of him
    I will be gone
    there's no knight here
    I'm moving on.
    Tarnished cans and
    broken glass
    I've been a fool for
    the time's long past.
    built up in front of my eyes
    I still believed your
    well placed lies.
    straight to my heart
    your arrow shot
    and that heartache
    is all i've got.
    swimming through lies
    trying to break the surface
    one day i'll be free
    and I'll reminice
    on this time I fell for
    a knight in tarnished armor
    and even though my heart is broke
    I had to walk out the door.

    Very theme oriented, and the cans and glass allude to alcohol. I've heard the pain of a wife of an alcoholic Is terrific. Strength is the theme!
