Holding on tight

  • JonTalbain
  • Didn't I tell you, what I believe... Did somebody say that....that love like that won't last? Didn't I give you all that I got to, give baby?

Holding on tight

From the annals of time
A blast from the past
Hell once frozen over, burning bright in all her glory
A moment in time I can't seem to forget
Solaced with loves, fills taken until the morning light
Candles burning, flesh against flesh
Eyes burning deep into my soul
My soul is losing control, and sins of The Father become the sins of The Son
Can't pretend anymore, the fire has become too hot
I don't want to let go
Can't let go
Needing you to stop running in out of my life
Stay... please stay and choose to make it if we can try

Sultry sirens sing the tunes of the angels
Hands are clasped, fingers interlocked
Bodies interwined, lips linking soul to soul, heart to hear and mind to mind
Have you the right to lose control?
Have I the right to surrender
Feeling no other way but this, and now the frozen winds of the bitter winter
Come alive like springtime life,
With it, the fecundity of the winds, carrying the fresh air of life
Between the two of us, into us and through us
Joined well and uncomfortably at the hip
Linked and married, soul to soul, the corridors of the future never seemed so certain
Souls are shaking, the bed's rocking, the heat stirring all around
The stars be a witness, the angels come to watch the powerful heart carry us to ecstasy
Is this merely a sin, or a sin of passion
Damn me to hell, and carry me there on gilded wings, if it means I'm with you
I can't take it...
I can't take the pretending
My soul needs the whispering in my ears
The lips on mine
The body shuddering beneath me

Then Climax and fade to black..

Powerful lines, brother. There comes a time (inevitably) when we all twist in the wind to the tune of this song. "Have you the right to lose control?/Have I the right to surrender" is a supremely logical question, but emotion and logic get along like oil and water, no matter how hard you try to combine the two. the answer? Write it down... record it... to prove to yourself, later, that it was just the way you remembered, and, hard is it might be sometimes, you gotta always remember who's the star in the movie that is your life. Ha ha sorry for ranting so long, but my scar tissue just loves to hear the sound of its own voice X D

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
