    • Very excited and very grateful. My son Michael will be coming back to American soil in about 12 days I want to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes and strength.

    My Eden

The sun kissed me sweetly this morning.
I gently rock in my hammock.
    Liquid fuel in hand,
    Preparing to face the day.
    The squirrels,
Who had been awake much earlier,
    were playing tag,
    Giggling,
    (as only squirrels can)
and bouncing from tree to tree.
So many shades of green as far as I can see.
    The forest is alive with
    Color,
     Sound,
    Movement.
A whisper of a breeze floats past me,
Fluttering leaves and skimming the grass.
    A Cardinal,
    Majestic in red,
Calls to his mate from his perch on the fence.
She answers him and soon appears close by.
    The sun is climbing higher,
A subtle reminder that I must be on my way.
I long to remain in my Eden.

I have been reading your poems and sense you see with an inner light, the ourside world. We have different styles, I the classic rhymer, you the "free styler". Although I have poems of proses and non rhyming I am an romantic poet at heart. I like your world very much and it is refresing and easy to read. Papa

Papa, Thank you so for your kind words. Yes an undisciplined poet am I, roaming and weaving. i have tried the rhyming and felt too confined, but do enjoy reading others who can. Again thank you, mlea

You take us on a walk through the poem, listening to sounds of harmony. Keeping us in your Eden, :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
