Poem Commentary

A poem I wrote asking to be saved in my weak moments of life....

KD

Save Me Our Lord For I Am Weak

“Save Me Our Lord For I Am Weak”

Temptation has taken a hold of me,
and has lead my life astray,
from beautiful women to sex and drugs,
it is crazy from day to day.

I wrecked my life while living in sin,
my world has taken wrong turns,
from one who is called “A Child Of God,”
to “The One The Devil Burns.”

Devilish behavior I have displayed,
unrighteousness came from within,
right then the battle appeared to be lost,
and there’s really no way I could win.

The mission I started to righteousness,
is a mission I seemed to have blown,
I have chosen to fight against evilness,
in a fight were I battle my own?

A lost sheep I am in the wilderness,
and the wolves were tracking me down,
the devil has set his traps for me,
as I moved from town to town.

Victory once so close at hand,
so righteous was my plan and scheme,
the forces of evil were in retreat,
then I started to lose my steam.

Fainted within my heart and soul,
my quest seemed like it was through,
the enemy surrounds me on all sides,
there is nothing that I can do.

But fear ye not my restless soul,
for Our Lord is always at hand,
“Save Me Our Lord For I Am Weak,
from the evilness which stand.”

The Lord then came to my rescue,

he gave to me his shield,

and strength to defeat the evilness,

that I face on the battlefield.

“The Lord Is My Rock Of My Salvation - My Shelter And My Protector,”(Psalms 25)

Hmmm, I have walked down that road myself - felt your words to the very core.

A lovely message of home and strength conveyed in the most resilient strength in fortitude that one could ever hope to obtain. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John14:27)
