    Poem Commentary

I love summer, but this extreme heats sucks!!

    Heat Wave 2010

    Visible waves of heat
    Radiating off the street
Being outdoors is not as sweet

    Hiding out inside
From the sun I must hide
    The plant leaves have dried

Its hard to sleep with ease
    Without a summer breeze
Twist and turn, sweat and wheeze

    Keep the shades down low
Drained of energy and moving slow
Never thought that I'd miss snow!!

As an Indiana resident, experience the hottest August in about 400 years, I can absolutely relate... the last few days have been a nice break, but the heat is being cranked up again by the end of the weekend... LOL! Awesome write, as always Earthly... Hope you're doing well!

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
