    Naked Eyes

     Naked eyes
    can not see
    stripped blind of life
    don't believe

    Soft, soft lips
    cold with death
    could taste the kiss of life
    but never take a breath

    Empty people
    can not feel
    the gift that God gave
    to make us real

    Naked eyes
    not yet clothed with sight
    unseeing
    they reject the light

    Soft, soft lips
    white and dry
    drank deception's poison
    to quench a thirst they couldn't hide

    Empty voices
    whisper in their heads
    believing those thoughts
    they can not see that they are dead

    Naked eyes
    yet, opened wide
    sightlessly seeking
    staring and blind

    soft, soft lips
    starved for life
    mute and silent
    to match eyes without sight

    hmmmm... sometimes I wonder how it is possible for great works to be hidden from lime light.... this is one of such.... good use of imagery and metaphors....
