    Do Self

Heal yourself before you touch the others
Flow is from the center outward
Loss of central focus comes in rummaging
Through the secret lives of others
Disconnection from the self creates illusion
Pain is not a healing force but a warning
    Warning of things gone awry
Joy is the force of permanent change
Remove the thought patterns of loss and pain
These hold no gain in the newness unfolding
Mankind is not a wayward child to punish
Each creates their own understanding of the cycles
Repeats of the patterns increase stubbornness of disease
Let it go, the cruelty of childhood and the rejection of parents
Mother is not the women, nor is Father the men
Beaten down child, rise to maturity
Dismantle the hatred and the angered indignation
Succor not on the destruction of others in your circle
Heal the core of the internal misbeliefs
There is not a them and you, there is only an I Am
Free to choose its path of becoming
Stick not to the discordant patterns of interference
Witness do not unharness the creation from its creator
Open awareness shift the design from the center
Content to be present detach from outcomes
Happen, let it happen, permit the changes from within
Addiction is a distraction from the self
Self is all there is release the rest it is illusion
You will only know others by knowing yourself
In rejecting yourself you reject all there is
The others hold not the answers to who you are
Your secret lies buried under the shadows of misbelief
You keep looking out there as though lost to self
Climb within, uncover your secrets, the gift you are to yourself
Forget the fear, leave behind the blindness, embrace realness
The outer world is not more important than the inner world
If its a mess inside the outside reflects this
Calmness is your center, your birthright, your vision
Stake your claim, face the storms, give birth
Value comes not from without but from within
Throw away your love for self and you cannot love others
Hatred inside performs hatred on the outside
Your dreams are yours and belong to no other
Sell it not, give it life, breathe joy into it
Measure not on a standard set by others
Please yourself in the beauty of creational force aliveness
As you grow widen your influence beyond yourself
Take no prisoners leave them free to choose
Disarm their protests of distrust and betrayal
This they create on their own, a pattern of loss
Grant them the freedom to claim it, to dwell within it
As you think in your heart so you are, see clearly then
Change is within, you control it, you envision it
Give this task to no other you are the only dweller within
Watch how you see things and interpret meaning
Heal yourself and you will understand universal value

This is so unique; each line could stand alone as a quote or saying, yet together they produce valuable, layered pieces of wisdom. I really like the meaning here, especially about letting go of the past. So many people seem to get stuck in the past. It's something I used to struggle with fairly frequently. Love the lines: mother is not the women, nor is father the men/ beaten down child, rise to maturity... amen to that...

Thank you d for taking time to read and comment, I'm glad it spoke to you for we yet rise. Collectively we are letting go of all that no longer serves.

Use it where ever you can, the ideas are collective and free. We have a long way to go, all of us. Thank you for your input on this piece dh.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
