    Poem Commentary

    Ugh so you have nooooo idea how rough putting on a play is until you are on running crew for high school theatre. :( can you tell how tired i've been lately?

    I Was Loopy When I Wrote This :P

    You slump into bed,
    close your eyes and you are gone,
    so tired, sleepy...

    You drift off into
    your dreamless dreams and your warm
    half-awake thoughts of

    Some random guy you like
    that rides unicorns over
    rainbows and cloud gods

    and suddenly youre
    up again and walking back
    out the door to life...

    A life where that guy
    kisses you on the forehead
    as you work so hard...

    And he understands,
    because you know he will leave
    and slump into bed...

    Whoot for exhaustion...

    Whoot for exhaustion, indeed, Imstillhere :) love your capture of the random associations that happen as we traverse that in-between territory, the dusk of the mind, just before and just after sleep ... and how, when we're tired, maybe those lines blur a little more ... thx for the share, and good luck with the closing production! -dh-
